Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship of the ASPIRE

Jorge Mario García is a Civil engineer (USAC, 2006) with a master’s degree in Business Administration and Applied Economics (UVG, 2010). He has a specialization in environmental consulting and real state valuation. Jorge Mario is currently the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship of the ASPIRE project at UVG.


Since 2012, his experience concerns the support of university entrepreneurs in early stages, and he have been professor for Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business Engineer and Business Innovation in the faculty of Engineering. He also coordinates since 2015 a University-Industry linkage program named “Megaprojects in Innovation”


Jorge Mario has been an entrepreneur in the construction industry since 2008. He created two small companies, Setecsa and Masparqueo. The first one has been in the market since that year, and it dedicates to build houses and Shopping centers in Guatemala. He has also experience in writing books related to human resources, organization, and administration.
