Gerardo is an accomplished Agricultural Engineer with a degree from Rafael Landivar University. With over 14 years of professional experience, he has excelled in both the public and private sectors, including roles as the Secretary of the Presidency for Agrarian Affairs, AGEXPORT’s Snow Pea and Vegetable committee, and AGEXPORT’s Agriculture Providers Commissions. Gerardo has also been directly involved in managing private agribusiness operations.

His primary focus has been on promoting agricultural exports and developing value chains for non-traditional agricultural products in Guatemala. He also has a background in implementing small-scale plantations for research purposes, contributing to the industry’s growth and innovation. His ability to establish strategic partnerships with diverse public and private organizations has facilitated the dissemination of best-practices among agricultural farmers, benefiting the agricultural industry and AGEXPORT-affiliated companies alike.
